Exists to preserve the character of the community and maintain property values.
The Architectural Control Committee (ACC), is charged with ensuring that any change(s) made to the exterior of any residence(s) within the community comply with the Amended Declarations.
As a planned community, Galloway Glen is governed by an Amended Declarations of Restriction, a copy of which is attached for your records. This is a legal document that governs and extends to all residences within the community.
The Architectural Control Committee (ACC), as established in the Declarations, exists to preserve the character of the community and maintain property values. The ACC is charged with ensuring that any change(s) made to the exterior of any residence(s) within the community comply with the Amended Declarations. The ACC must also ensure that any exterior modifications will not change the overall character of the neighborhood, or negatively impact property values.
The ACC is also responsible for ensuring that the exterior of all Galloway Glen residences, including the yard and landscaping, are reasonably maintained.
The ACC performs twice yearly community surveys, and can issue notices of violation if maintenance or other problems with the property are identified. A specific procedure for a hearing before an infractions committee followed by potential
assessment of fines is detailed in the Amended Declarations of Restriction. ANY construction or alteration to the exterior of a home within Galloway Glen, including re-roofing and painting, must be cleared through the ACC prior to
being performed. Please be advised that boats, trailers and recreational vehicles are not permitted to be stored in Galloway Glen. Canvas carports are also prohibited. Fountains, gazebos and other exterior modifications are considered by the ACC on a case-by-case basis. The ACC is comprised of 3 members who serve rotating three (3) year terms, and are elected by the homeowners at the yearly meeting.
The ACC is currently composed of Helaine Weissman, George Pino and Amelia Toural. One member of the ACC is elected at each year’s annual meeting. The ACC can be contacted via e-mail at [email protected].
It can also be contacted via letter send to the accounting firm at the address listed below.
